West Haddon Photo Club

From time to time one of our members will make a “How to…” video and the link will be posted on this page with a brief description. If you would like a particular topic covered, or if you have a video you think would help other photographers, please do get in touch with us.

Adding the Club watermark to an image

To protect images we are now putting the Club logo on each image shown on this website. In this first video, Kevan Brassington shows how to use Photoshop to add the logo to an image. This has a wider application: use your own logo for your own images, for example.

How to producer a monochrome image with parts in colour

Look closely at Kevan’s image, predominantly black and white but with some areas, particularly the couple on the left-hand side marked out with colour. The original photograph was, of course, in colour and Kevan has cleverly used PhotoShop to create this effect. It raised so much interest of the last monthly Club meeting with Kevan has very kindly recorded the steps to a movie which you can see on YouTube by clicking this link. We would love to see any similar images which you create!
