With bonfire night coming up, we had a ‘technical subject’ meeting on how to take good photos of Fireworks. It’s is not as easy as you might imagine, but 6 of our members did attend one of the many displays taking place this year and had a go. Other members used their imagination to produce images of fireworks. For example a sparkler used to write patterns in the dark or the reflection of fireworks in a child’s eye, even a pot plant that had leaves and flowers bursting upwards that looked like a firework. Several very good images of fireworks were obtained this year but member’s favourite was Kevan’s image of fireworks set against the moon from last year’s West Haddon display (above).

Ten members submitted Images of the month, taken since our last meeting. These ranged from animals and architecture through to landscapes and an artistic flash image. Member’s favourite was Adrian’s night image of the starry sky over West Haddon Church.

As always, all the submitted images can be seen under the ‘Previous months’ menu item.
