The West Haddon Photo Club is open to anyone interested in photography. Our members have a wide range of experience from beginners to experts, and they use a vast range of equipment from mobile phones and point-and-shoot cameras to the latest digital SLR and mirrorless cameras. The important thing is that we all love photography, and enjoy the company of other photographers and an opportunity to chat about the pictures we take.
We generally meet on the third Thursday of each month (except August) to each share up to three images on a theme (see our Calendar page for a list of those upcoming). Following a vote to decide which Theme image is our favourite we then each show one other image taken since the previous meeting - our Image of the Month.
We start at 7.30pm in the Baptist Schoolroom, Guilsborough Road, West Haddon, NN6 7AD. You can bring your photos on a USB memory stick, or email them as attachments to email@example.com not later than the day before the meeting; or, probably the best option, upload them to our Dropbox folder; please contact a member of the committee for details.
If you don't want to show an image, that's fine! Just come along and enjoy the show.
If you’re interested in joining, you might like to come to a regular monthly meeting and say “hello” and see what we are about. We won’t charge you for a couple of meetings you attend like that, and then we hope you might join the Club. You would be welcome to come to occasional meetings without joining when we will charge you just £3 each meeting to cover refreshment costs and the cost of hiring the hall.
We'll be happy to give you an application form to complete at any meeting you attend, or use the form on the right (click on it to open it as a pdf, print it, then fill it in and let us have it back along with the applicable membership fee: see the form for the current rates).
If you are aged 16 or under we require that a parent or guardian countersign the form.
We hope you will enjoy being a member of West Haddon Photo Club! We look forward to meeting you.
